We took our cameras to Greenbelt last year and made an attempt to shoot a few video interviews. The only real location available to us was the artist contributors area, which was of course full of the festival artists - all drinking tea and chatting away. Not wanting to be rude, we did not ask them to keep quiet while we shot the interviews so unfortunately some of these videos have quite loud background noise.
We hope you enjoy them anyway.
Here is our first with FIREFALLDOWN.
One of the younger bands playing the Meltdown stage was a band who were playing only their fifth ever gig. Quite an achievement to be playing the hard music stage after only five shows under their belt.
The band played a great set and were well received by a good crowd of HM fans. If you have not yet heard of them, well here is your chance to meet them on video.
CATAPULTS
Just about to leave for the USA to embark on a few years of study Dougle McMysteron played his final gig in the UK with his amazingly popular punk band 100 Philistine Foreskins. The band jammed the underground venue and locked the doors on over 80 expectant fans who could not get in to see the show and said goodbye in style.
So here is what we believe to be the last interview with Dougle before he set off for Chicago. Filmed in 2010 at Greenbelt.
100 PHILISTINE FORESKINS
One of the most popular bands in the Christian hard music scene right now is Coventry based hardcore band CONDUIT. The band are currently in the process of writing new songs ready for a new album sometime in 2012. This first new song "Outstreched Arms" was filmed and the music video released a few months ago. Why not take a look?
Unfortunately one of our favourite bands FIREFALLDOWN had to cancel their show at Greenbelt this year due to unforeseen circumstances. The good news is that after taking a short break from playing, the band should hopefully be back on the road soon and will be blessing us with one of the best Christian albums to be recorded for a long time. For those of you who can't wait to see them, here is a reminder of just how good they are:
